Bright light can impair vision. Therefore, it is completely right to wear Filtral sunglasses outside and in bright sunshine.  The glasses let the visible light approach the eye according to the level of tint of the glasses (see the table for filter category).

The much more important aspect is, however, UV protection. And this is not dependent on the level of tint but on the integrated UV-filter. Filtral sunglasses protect your eye exceptionally well from the extremely dangerous, distant UVC rays, as well as from the closer UVA and UVB rays.
